In order to provide the most effective language learning experience and since a Mandarin environment is the tutor's responsibility, I would include clearly articulated Mandarin during tuition and try to avoid using English. Listening and Speaking: I would mainly design practical activities and communication targeted lessons; therefore, my students would never be bored in my tuition as a positive and confident learning experience is the crutial part in a language class. Most importantly, the learning would be very effective. Reading and Writing: Both simplified and traditional orthography can be provided, depending on the students' preference. Since learning the characters is essential to the success of learning Chinese language, I would require my students to learn either traditional or simplified characters along with the help of Pin-yin (a romanisation pronunciation system) if reading and writing is their main target.
