The Australian Chinese Community Association Chinese Language School is one of the oldest, largest and most renowned Chinese language schools in New South Wales. In the past 30 years, we have gained recognition and support from the government. Our Cantonese and Mandarin courses range from primary level to high school level. In addition, we also have an adult Mandarin class. With 11 grades and 21 classes, our teachers are all well qualified. The school also has a parents club, school library, regular seminars and our students actively participate in the annual Chinese Eisteddfod and drama performances.
Our school has achieved much success this year in the annual Chinese Eisteddfod and at the Chinese writing competition where our students were honoured as groups and individuals. One of our students also won the NSW Premier’s Award after our school made the nomination.
Phil Xu, Principal of the ACCAChineseLanguageSchool was recently awarded the “Chinese Education Commendation Award”. The prize was awarded to encourage the work of exceptional individuals in the field of Chinese education in Australia. This win is something that Mr Xu and the school can take pride in. On the day, Mr Qiu Shaofang, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney
spoke at the ceremony and the award was presented by Madam Li Yanduan, Deputy Consul-General. Ms Phoebe Alexander of the Chinese Language Council of NSW Inc. also attended.
The ACCAChineseLanguageSchool is held every Saturday afternoon at Eastwood near the shopping centre. There is ample parking available and transport is convenient, with the school situated only two minutes from the train station.
