 Chinese Culture School of Los Angeles The Chinese Culture School of Los Angeles was established in 1976. There are two divisions of language and fine arts. The language division includes Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. Language classes are schedules on Saturday mornings from 9:00am to noon. All instructors are proficient in their native languages. Instruction is focused on speaking, listening, reading, and writing. New vocabulary, pronunciation, text recitation and stroke order in writing Chinese including composition are also taught. The latest textbooks and workbooks are provided at no cost. For variety and cultural enrichment, other activities may include singing, children's and folk songs, recitations of poetry, drawing, and Chinese rhythmic instruments.
