Collaborating with Wuhan University in China, we offer a variety of Chinese language courses, cultural exchange programs and scholarly activities for the local communities, students and faculty members.
The University of Pittsburgh provides an ideal intellectual and institutional environment for the Confucius Institute. Here we have a strong and active China Studies faculty in a diverse array of disciplines such as literature, history, archeology, fine arts, economics, ethnomusicology, political science, anthropology, religion, linguistics, etc. The University has a long tradition of promoting international studies. It hosts one of the most comprehensive Asian Studies programs in the country in research, public service and teaching about East Asia.
