The Confucius Institute at Group T wants to develop a distinct, inspiring, and innovative model for promoting the knowledge of and acquaintance with China, the Chinese people, and the Chinese language and culture. More specifically, it wants to design, develop and implement innovative methods for the instruction and learning of the Chinese language and culture.
In order to achieve this objective, the Confucius Institute at Group T organizes a wide range of activities regarding the chinese language and culture, emphasizing engineering, enterprising, and educating, and in the field of networking with partners around the entire world:the instruction of the Chinese language, using different technologies such as multimedia and the internet;the training of teachers to instruct the Chinese language in primary, secondary and higher education;the arrangement of tests to certify ability to teach Chinese as a foreign language;the arrangement of Chinese language proficiency tests;the organization of Chinese language courses in a variety of domains;competitions on Chinese language and culture;the projection of Chinese movies and TV programs;giving advice to and coaching people who want to study in China;offering reference work to professionals.
