Introduction to the specialty:
This program is designed to train competent professionals well versed in the Chinese language with sufficient knowledge about other branches of learning to meet the increasing needs of the international community. After four years of learning, students are expected to have reached Level 8 of Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK), have a decent grasp of the basic theoretical knowledge of the Chinese language and the five skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating, as well as an all-around knowledge of Chinese culture, history and society, cross-cultural communicative competence, and the ability to work in the Chinese context, including the use of IT software in Chinese.

Comprehensive Spoken and Written Chinese, Intensive Reading in Chinese, Chinese Listening and Speaking, Chinese Writing, Introduction to China, History of China, Modern Chinese, Classical Chinese, Selected Readings of Chinese Literature, Chinese folklore, etc.
