![]() Euston Chinese School The History Of The Chinese School Euston Chinese School was founded by Dr Adeline Ko and Dr Abraham Lue in 1978, after applying to ILEA for the free use of Maria Fidelis School premises to run classes on Satudays. It also joined the OCEC and became one of the branch schools. Since then, with the guidance and support from OCEC, Euston School continues to provide mother-tongue education for the Chinese community. For the past 25 years, OCEC Euston School has faced many changes and challenges. One of them was the abolition of ILEA in 1990, resulting in the termination of cash grant and free rent for school premises. For the last few years due to changes of school premises as well as lack of grant support from local councils, the school faced major setback in the management and provision of service. Today, with the commitment of voluntary teachers and support from Islington Chinese Association, the school maintains its valuable service to the local Chinese community.
