Intensive First-year Chinese (CNSEH002B01)
An intensive introductory course in modern spoken and written Chinese. The development of oral-aural skills is integrated through grammar explanations and drill sessions designed to reinforce new material through active practice. Six hours a week of lecture and oral practice, plus individual conference. This is a year-long course; both semesters are required for credit (CNSE 001 and 002). Second-year Chinese aims for further development of language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Five hours of class plus individual conference.
Prerequisites: First-year Chinese or permission of instructor.
