 Indiana University South Bend - Chinese EALC-C 101 ELEMENTARY CHINESE I (3 cr.) An introductory, skills-oriented course that emphasizes both basic language acquisition and Chinese culture. EALC-C 102 ELEMENTARY CHINESE II (3 cr.) P: EALC-C 101 or equivalent. Students build on basic vocabulary learned in the first semester to become increasingly proficient in reading and writing Chinese. Attention is also paid to building oral proficiency. EALC-C 201 SECOND YEAR CHINESE I (2-4 cr.) P: EALC-C 102 or equivalent.
