 Queensland University of Technology - Mandarin program Welcome to the Mandarin language program at QUT.Do you know that in the world today over 2500 universities in about 100 countries are offering courses in Mandarin Chinese and over 30,000,000 people worldwide are learning the language as a foreign or second language? The total number of students currently learning the language in China is about 80,000.
The Mandarin program at QUT allows students to study the Chinese language as a co- major or as elective units. From Semester 1 2009, you will be able to study from Mandarin 1 to Mandarin 4 at QUT with more advanced units planned for 2010.
In addition, students can choose to complete one or two semesters in-country studying Chinese in the People's Republic of China in a culturally rich, immersion situation.
