![]() Sheffield & District Chinese School Aims The aims of Sheffield & District Chinese School (SDCS) are to provide educational opportunities and promote Chinese culture. Development The Chinese School was first established as a Chinese Language Class in 1973 by a group of parents for teaching their own children. These classes were held at various venues through out the city. In 1982, The Sheffield and District Chinese School was officially formed, offering more classes at Myrtle Spring School. In 2001, the SDCS moved to King Edward VII School. We are now offering both Cantonese and Mandarin lessons. Over the years, the school has received a lot of help and support from Sheffield City Council, the Chinese community, friends and parents.
