There are three ways you can learn Chinese at the Confucius Institute and the University of Adelaide:
1. Individual/small group tailored lessonsIf you are too busy to attend a structured Chinese class, or just want to lean the basics quickly, the Confucius Institute can tailor a program to suit your needs.

Beginner to Advanced classes (non-award) with Professional and Continuing Education (PCE)The University of Adelaide's Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) offers a range of Chinese language courses catering for the beginner to the more advanced learner. Courses are open to everyone, and formal qualifications are not required. PCE works closely with the Confucius Institute to maximise opportunities for language study both in Adelaide and by arranging tours to China. Intensive Courses 3. Chinese as part of a degree at the Centre for Asian StudiesThe Centre for Asian Studies in the School of Social Sciences was established within the University of Adelaide in 1975 to develop a program of Chinese and Japanese studies. It is the only institution in South Australia offering a full sequence of Chinese and Japanese language courses. If you are a student at the University of Adelaide you can study Chinese at the Centre for Asian Studies:
