Curriculum provision※Elementary ChineseThis program is divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels with each level further divided into 3 levels to allow students at similar Chinese levels to be grouped together. Each class consists of 8-15 students.The curriculum focuses on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, modern grammar and essay writing. The program normally takes 2-3 semesters to complete and at the end of the program, beginners reach a higher Chinese proficiency level. ※Business ChineseThe program is divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels with each level further divided into 2-4 classes of 8-15 students each at a similar Chinese level. Students should already have a firm grasp of basic Chinese before starting the business Chinese program. The curriculum aims at improving students' spoken and listening proficiency in business Chinese, and teaching business writing, and newspaper reading. The program normally takes 2-3 semesters to complete and at the end of the program students would be able to attain higher Chinese proficiency level in business environment. 2. Academic Calendar Fall semester: September 1~January 10 Spring semester: March 1~ July 10 3. Certificate Students who have completed all the courses and passed all the course examinations will be granted a certificate of completion. 4.
