Careers Recent graduates have pursued careers in business, journalism and publishing, diplomacy, teaching and overseas aid work, tourism, broadcasting, public relations, translating and interpreting, throughout China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mongolia, and in East Asian-related jobs in Britain, Europe and the United States. Duration Entry requirements Scottish Framework qualifications: 280 UCAS tariff points from five different SCE Highers subjects. Access and supporting qualifications: Pass at Access course. IB: 30 points (including 14 at Higher Level). EB: An overall score of 7.3. GCSE Foreign language (Grade C or above) required. No previous knowledge of Chinese is expected and native speakers will not be accepted. The Department adopts a a flexible approach to qualifications under the new post-16 curriculum. We normally interview those applicants whom we feel would benefit from further advice and discussion before an offer is made.
