I teach Mandarin at all levels, from beginners to GCSE, A Level, and HSK. I can teach individuals, small groups and classes.

I came to England from Guangzhou in China in 1989. I graduated with a journalism degree (honours) in 1985, and am fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. I was a lecturer in the former Guangdong Media (Radio and TV) School, and also a reporter in the GDTV in Guangzhou.I've worked for PCNE (the Chinese satellite TV channel, and the former CNE), but the job that I've invested most of my time in has been teaching Chinese.

I began teaching in a Chinese Saturday school in 1992. Since then Ive become more and more interested in Chinese education, teaching Chinese both as a second language and as a mother tongue; and I've attended many training courses related to teaching and classroom management. I founded the Chinesewise School in New Malden, and am the headteacher there.
