![]() Washburn University - Kansas - Chinese Chinese Courses (FL) Beginning Chinese I and II (FL 101/102) 4 credit hours The Beginning Chinese course is an introduction to Chinese conversation, reading, writing, and grammar. The primary goal of this course is to enable students to master the basics of Chinese pronunciation, as well as the basic sentence patterns and grammar. By the end of the course, students will be able to conduct simple conversations about daily life. Along with the language, many cultural aspects of China will be explored. FL 101 is offered in the Fall, and FL 102 is in Spring. There is no pre-requisite for FL 101, but FL 101 is the prerequisite for FL 102.
